Theodore Boone:The Abduction by John Grisham

Pete Duffy's trial was called a mistrial, but that's not the last of him for Theo. Suddenly Theo's best friend goes missing. The obvious suspect seems to be Duffy, but is it him? After all the abnormal things her parents have been up to lately, could they have something to do with this?
When Theo and his parents go to visit April's mom, the police are already there investigating. Then they ask Theo multiple questions to find if April might have just ran away. April's mom glares at Theo as if to tell him to pick and choose his words carefully, as she had not been present in the house with April for the past couple nights. What other secrets are these people holding from each other? Could one bit of information mean life or death for April?

"There's really no proof that Mr.Duffy killed his wife."
                                                                  -Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer
Eighth grade Theo Boone is the son of two lawyers. He was raised in Boone & Boone law firm, and knows Judge Grantry like a best friend. So when the largest murder case in years is brought up, Theo jumps at the chance to take his Government class to come watch.
But when the case on Mr.Duffy's behalf becomes over powering, there seems to be no evidence at all. Or maybe he is innocent. Theodore finds some reveling information, even an eye witness. Yet, the witness refuses come forth to and bear his testimony. Even if Theo can convince him to come forward, Judge Grantry would have to call a mistrial. Can Theo pull it all off? Or will Mr.Duffy walk away a free man?
