Another mythology series by Rick Riordan, the popular YA writer of the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians and also the Hero's of Olympus. Only the major difference is the mythology. In the Kane Chronicles, Rick follows the Egyptian Gods instead of the Greek Gods in the Percy Jackson books.
Our two main characters, Sadie and Carter Kane, are the children of two Egyptologists. Their father Dr. Julius Kane finally brings the two siblings together one Christmas Eve night. As the siblings have been separated for many years, since their mother's disappearance. Very soon after Julius picks up the kids, they go sight seeing together at the British Museum. Suddenly, Dr.Kane is taken under the floor, for what the siblings believe might be the end of their father. What will they do?
